RSGS Borders Group

The RSGS Borders Group was established in 1993; Hamish Brown gave the first public talk, entitled Marrakesh.

There are now six RSGS Inspiring People talks in the Borders each year.

25th September 2018 – Pip Stewart, Human Reflections in the Amazon

23rd October 2018 – Jo Woolf FRSGS, Beyond the Horizon

27th November 2018 – Prof John Briggs FRSGS, 21st Century Challenges for Africa

29th January 2019 – David Shukman FRSGS, Deep Sea Gold Rush: The NEw Threat to the Ocean Floor

26th February 2019 – Beth Christie FRSGS, Journey to Antarctica: Learning for Sustainability

These talks are given on Tuesday evenings, and in the 2018-19 season they will all be held at Heriot Watt University’s Scottish Borders Campus in Galashiels.
