RSGS Helensburgh Group

The RSGS Helensburgh Group was established in 2005; Pam Kemp gave the first public talk, entitled Journey Through the Sea.

There are now six RSGS Inspiring People talks in Helensburgh each year.

27th September 2018 – Pip Stewart, Human Reflections in the Amazon

25th October 2018 – Jo Woolf FRSGS, Beyond the Horizon

29th November 2018 – Prof Charles Withers FRSGS, Mapping Scotland’s Islands

31st January 2019 – Prof John Briggs FRSGS, 21st Challenges for Africa

28th February 2019 – Beth Christie FRSGS, Journey to Antarctica: Learning for Sustainability

28th March 2019 – Prof Iain Stewart, Planet Oil: A History of Addiction

These talks are given on Thursday evenings, and all talks in the 2018-19 season will be held at the Victoria Halls.
