Pip Stewart: Human Reflections in the Amazon (DUMFRIES)
24th September @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Pip has cycled Brazil’s Trans-Amazonian Highway, lived with indigenous communities in Peru, and paddled Guyana’s Essequibo River. Through these adventures, she has witnessed first-hand the destructive nature of modernity, and cultivated an understanding of wild places and the rich cultures that exist within them. Pip shares stories from her travels and explains how contemporary issues such as gold mining are having a real impact on the people of the Amazon.
