A library full of explorers, a 3D Earth projector, and eons of geological time – that’s right, it can mean only one thing: the Fair Maid’s House Visitor Centre is open for the season!
In our Explorers’ Room, there will be inspiring stories and fascinating ephemera from the likes of David Livingstone, Sir Ernest Shackleton, Robert Falcon Scott, Neil Armstrong and Karen Darke. In our multi-media Earth Room, there will be hands-on opportunities to learn about geo-politics and the Earth’s tectonic forces. And in our map room, there will be time to get lost in our captivating collection of cartographic treats!
Plus, there will be a whole host of exhibitions on show in our wonderful space, including images from the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards which will hang during the summer holidays.
